Announcement of the Ministry of Interior
Registration of state land for agencies to be utilized for official purposes in Tambon Lainan, Wiang Sa district of Nan province.
Referring to Chulalongkorn University’s request for the registration of state land in Village Two, Tambon Lainan, Wiang Sa district of Nan province, covering an area of 2,116 rai, 3 ngan and 80 square wah for the construction of the Center for Research and Operations for Technology Transfer to localities in Nan province:
By virtue of Section 8 (bis) of the Land Code amended by Announcement 334 of the Revolutionary Council dated December 13, 1972, the minister of interior has registered the state land, covering 2,116 rai, 3 ngan and 80 square wah for Chulalongkorn University to set up the Center for Research and Operations for Technology Transfer to localities in Nan province as shown in the map at the end of this announcement.

MoU on technical cooperation, 2006
Technical cooperation between the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine of Chulalongkorn University and the Ratchamongkol Institute of Technology, Nan campus, for the development of personnel in veterinary medicine and transfer of livestock technology in Nan province.
A memorandum of understanding (MoU) has been drawn up to cover cooperation between the Nan Provincial Administration, the Ratchamongkol Institute of Technology, Nan campus and the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine of Chulalongkorn University to strengthen animal science training in the region.
1. Under the MoU, the Ratchamongkol Institute of Technology, Nan campus and the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine of Chulalongkorn University agreed to utilize 400 rai of the institute’s land for joint technical activities in animal science.
2. The Ratchamongkol Institute of Technology, Nan campus, agreed to allow the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine of Chulalongkorn University to utilize the land on a long-term basis for the development of the Technical Center for Animal Science to become a learning center for graduate study, a center for high-level research and development, technical services to society and for training students of the two institutions. Chulalongkorn University will return the land to the Ratchamongkol Institute of Technology, Nan campus, after it no longer needs the land after the completion of its mission.
3. The technical activities of the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine of Chulalongkorn University are intended to develop the basic technical capabilities of the Institute and to transfer technology appropriate to the socio-economic development of Nan province, with the Ratchamongkol Institute of Technology, Nan campus being the core institute to be developed into an institute of high technology in animal science in the northern region.
4. The Faculty of Veterinary Medicine of Chulalongkorn University and the Ratchamongkol Institute of Technology, Nan campus, have agreed to produce graduates in animal science and to jointly develop the Technical Center of Animal Science in Nan province, with an emphasis on research and development to increase the value of local resources, which will lead to sustainable socio-economic development of Nan and neighboring provinces. The key element of this MoU is the mutual benefit to both sides from sharing the use of laboratories, libraries and an information technology network.
5. In order to fulfil the above agreements, the project will be incorporated in the development plan of Nan province and is regarded as a cooperative venture involving three parties — Chulalongkorn University, the Ratchamongkol Institute of Technology, Nan campus and the Nan provincial administration — to provide the necessary support to ensure optimum benefits for the project and related activities. If any of the parties want to suspend any of the planned undertakings, the other parties must be notified in writing at least 12 months in advance, provided that the undertakings in question must be completed.
6. Chulalongkorn University and the Ratchamongkol Institute of Technology, Nan campus, agreed that any benefits or revenues acquired by the Technical Center for Animal Science must be treated as revenues of the center, to go into the fund for the development of center and to be spent for its activities.
All authorized representatives of the agencies concerned hereby affix their signatures to this memorandum of understanding.
