Chula as World Health Organization Collaboration Centers

The World Health Organization (WHO) has designated multiple divisions of Chulalongkorn University, including Faculty of Medicine, Thai Red Cross Society, College of Public Health Sciences, Faculty of Economics, as its Collaborating Centers for different areas, including:

  1. Since 1976: WHO Collaborating Center for Research in Human Reproduction
  2. Since 1981: WHO Collaborating Center for Research and Training in Drug Dependence
  3. Since 2002: WHO Collaborating Centre for Venomous Snake Toxicology and Research
  4. Since 2004: WHO Collaborating Centre for Training in Blood Transfusion Medicine
  5. Since 2008: WHO Collaborating Center for Research and Training on Viral Zoonoses
  6. Since 2014: WHO Collaborating Center for Medical Education
  7. Since 2014: WHO Collaborating Center for Health Economics

These collaborating centers’ activities include executing research/research development; collaboration with national/international agencies in developing and implementing the program concerning policy planning, intervention and assessment; distributing information, and technical knowledge.
