Chulalongkorn University Opens Lifelong Learning Opportunities for a Sustainable Society

Chulalongkorn University places great emphasis on expanding educational opportunities to the wider public by offering a variety of Short Courses, Workshops, and Executive Education Programs open to individuals outside the university community, without the requirement of being enrolled students. These programs aim to promote lifelong learning and enhance professional competencies in alignment with the rapidly changing social and economic landscape.

Through its faculties and affiliated units, the university provides a wide range of academic, professional, and innovation-based training programs across multiple disciplines—such as digital technology, energy, environment, and health—to strengthen the capacities of individuals in the public and private sectors, as well as the general public. These initiatives empower participants to apply their knowledge to their professions and contribute to sustainable community development.

2. Integrated Swine Farming Demonstration School Project (Batch 2, 2025)

The Center of Learning Network for the Region, Chulalongkorn University organized the Integrated Swine Farming Demonstration School Project (Batch 2, 2025) from July 2–15, 2025, with the goal of transferring scientific and technical knowledge in modern swine farming to farmers in Nan Province. The project promotes stable livelihoods, sustainable income, and improved quality of life for local communities through systematic agricultural education.

As part of the project, the center provided 42 pigs (including breeding and fattening stock) to 21 trained farmers in Sanian Subdistrict, Mueang Nan District, to help them establish and expand their own farming businesses.

This initiative reflects Chulalongkorn University’s continued commitment—through its Center of Learning Network for the Region —to strengthening the grassroots economy of Nan Province by empowering farmers with essential skills and knowledge that foster community resilience and long-term sustainability.
