CUVIP: Personalized Learning, Extraordinary Success

Chulalongkorn University Values Integration Program (CUVIP) [http://www.cuvip.gened.chula.ac.th/index.php] Organized by the General Education Center, Chulalongkorn University as a part of the general innovative project to foster personal development. The program is a short-term activity program that the university is open to students, alumni, staff and the general public who are not students of the university who are interested register to attend, regardless of gender, ages, educational or occupational backgrounds to develop themselves into well-rounded individuals. Through the activities organized, they develop themselves physically, emotionally, intellectually, and socially.

The personalized learning activities selected and designed to prepare students for success in social, professional, and academic settings are based on each student’s individual goals, motivations, or interests. Furthermore, ‘co-creation platform’ among CU staff, Alumni, Industry: Stock Exchange of Thailand, media, and CSO: EducationUSA play a leading role in creating and developing learning activities aiming at holistic learning. We classify learning activities as personalized learning into three categories: S: Self-Awareness & Self-Discovery, C: Career Development & Entrepreneurship, and V: Values & Characters, which cater to individuals. After passing the assessment, students will be awarded a Certificate of Completion been available as downloadable files from our website.

In the past, over 4,000 people were participating in our educational events, and we have run more than 100 activities and events. Monthly educational events, and special CUVIP Talk normally held on campus Monday to Friday for 2-hour. During the COVID-19 crisis, we moved classes online through Zoom, offering a convenient and accessible way for all to learn at a distance and at their own paces.

Here are some of the organized monthly activities on a variety of topics including language, IT/Data/Technology, Management, Art and Self Development, and Health, For example:

  • There are courses that has been hosted by Ms.Kanyapak Sawangjith At General Learning Center, Chulalongkorn University regarding basics about marketing communications planning. The course aims to provide learners with basic knowledge of marketing communications and allow them to apply the knowledge in the real world for professional use.   • The second course, “Smart Leader Smart Business” was hosted by Dr.Veerachai  Khuprasert at General Learning Center, Chulalongkorn University. This aims to provide lessons from real life experience of Global Firms and give learners understanding of the current and future market perspectives. As a result, there were 163 participants. CU have been empowering all with 21st century skills for today and the future, creating transformative learning experiences, and promoting global citizenship and appreciation of cultural diversity and contribution to sustainable development.
