Dormitory for Chula personnel: welfare to support university’s personnel

In the 21st century, Chulalongkorn University determines to be a high-performance organization that has proactive human resources management, which corresponds to the university’s strategy and mission. In 2020, Chulalongkorn University has a total of 8,178 personnel consisting of 3,036 academic staff and 5,142 administrative staff. With a large number of staff, the university’s policy is to take special care of the staff’s welfare and well-being, as it provides residences inside and around campus in the form of dormitory to make staff enjoy their works and to strengthen relationship between university’s personnel. The advantage of providing the residences to staff, especially those whose house is outside of Bangkok or who have trouble traveling to work, is to aid them to engage in university’s work responsibly and thoroughly. The university has provided the following 3 dormitories.

Vidhayanives is a dormitory for university’s staff and government officers. The building has 14 floors, offering well-facilitated and air-conditioned rooms. It also provides different types of rooms to suit either family stay, single residents, long-term, or daily stay at a reasonable price.

Chulanives is a dormitory for university’s staff and government officers. The building has 4 floors with the offer of fan and well-facilitated rooms. It also provides different types of rooms to suit either family stay or single residents.

Chulanivas is a dormitory for the maintenance and security staff such as security guards, janitors, and mechanics. This dormitory facilitates the staff so that they could fulfill their maintenance and security duties faster and better. The building has a total of 172 rooms for the residents. The type of room ranges from family bedrooms to 4 people shared-bedrooms. The cost of rent starts from 250 up to 1,000 baht.
