Chulalongkorn University Encourages Students to Establish an Environmental Conservation Club
Chulalongkorn University, one of Thailand’s most prestigious institutions, remains committed to sustainability and environmental responsibility. In alignment with its mission to foster eco-friendly initiatives, the university has officially supported the establishment of the Environmental Conservation Club by students. This club aims to raise awareness, promote sustainable practices, and engage students in environmental protection efforts both on campus and in the wider community.
The Environmental Conservation Club is dedicated to preserving nature and the environment through a wide range of activities. Its objectives include raising awareness and educating both students and the public about environmental issues. The club also actively addresses real-world environmental challenges—such as advocating for solutions to overlapping land boundaries in Thap Lan National Park—and urges government stakeholders to acknowledge the importance of environmental concerns. A key focus of the club is reducing environmental impacts, particularly through sustainable waste management initiatives.

4. “Voices from the Forest” Discussion Forum
A public forum aimed at challenging misconceptions about deforestation and land-use conflicts. The discussion explores whether local villagers are truly responsible for forest destruction, highlighting discrepancies between media narratives and the actual situation on the ground. The event brings together experts from government agencies, members of parliament, university professors, community leaders, and students to exchange ideas and foster accurate understanding.
Through these impactful initiatives, the Environmental Conservation Club at Chulalongkorn University plays an essential role in advocating for environmental protection and cultivating meaningful dialogue on sustainability-related issues.
