Chula Right Livelihood Summer School (CURLS)
Chulalongkorn University established CURLS, together with Centre for Bhutan Studies & GNH, and Sathirakoses Nagapradipa Foundation (SNF) funded by a Right Livelihood Award Laureate Sulak Sivaraksa.
CURLS is a program organized by the School for Wellbeing Studies and Research, an independent Action-research platform/center of advocacy and informal higher learning which brings Right Livelihood Laureates as the core of the School who are engaged both in educational activities and scientific research.
Workshops, travel grants, online courses, field visits and lectures are some of the tools that are used to connect students (from many campuses), civil society actors and Laureates.
The second program “Towards Organic Asia” gave rise, among other initiatives, to Mindful Markets movement and social enterprise course on sustainable food systems, with core partners in the Mekong region and associates in wider Asia.
