Recognizing sustainability is attainable only through active participation of citizens and radical changes in ways we think and act, Chulalongkorn University collaborated with civil society, local governments, academic institutions of the region and beyond, in launching this regional platform.
Civic Engagement 4.0 is a project in the course of which participants from different sectors can share, discuss, and develop ideas and plans to achieve dignity, justice, and sustainability in Southeast Asia in the era of urbanization and technological advancement.
In Southeast Asia, forward-thinking mayors collaborate with communities, CSOs, and the private sector to employ creative, grounded, and small/medium-scale initiatives. Civic Engagement 4.0 therefore integrated the Mayors Symposium to enhance collaborate efforts to develop a dignified, just, and sustainable society—and match those efforts with global missions of SDGs.
