Students also play an important role in driving the SDG goal by participating in volunteering programmes.
Asian Students Environment Platform (ASEP)
ASEP program was organised through an agreement between AEON Environmental Foundation and the United Nations Environment Programme(UNEP) and Secretariat of the Convention on Biological Diversity (SCBD). Through this programme, undergraduate and graduate students from Asian countries can learn about environmental issues, share their perspectives, and generate new ideas. Indonesia’s Universitas Indonesia hosted the Asian Student Environment Platform in 2021.The event lasted three days and took place online. Students from Chulalongkorn University applied to participate in this event in order to learn about differences in the natural environment and cultural values of each country while discussing and proposing solutions to global environmental issues. This year, 90 college students from nine different countries participated in the programme. After attending lectures, the students were divided into ten international teams for group discussions. As facilitators, faculty members from the participating universities will help to deepen the discussions. [ http://www.sa.chula.ac.th/asian-students-environment-platform-asep-2021-indonesia-online/ ]
